How to play Connect the Diamonds

Campaign mode

  1. Pick any unlocked level from the level-select screen. Levels are grouped into 10 three-level chapters - Novice Vein, Crystal Cavern, Glimmering Shaft, Deep Lode, Prism Chamber, Diamond Core, Fractured Seam, Obsidian Maze, Crystal Labyrinth, and Diamond Sovereign.
  2. The first 6 chapters grow the grid from 4×4 up to 7×7 as you progress. From Fractured Seam onward the grid stays capped at 7×7 - the challenge instead comes from more targets to connect and grey rock "blocks" that permanently seal off a tile, forcing you to route around them.
  3. Tap any non-fixed tile to rotate it 90°. The glowing source and the gold targets are fixed in place and cannot be rotated; grey blocks can never be rotated or routed through.
  4. Two adjacent tiles are only connected when both have a matching open side facing each other. Tiles currently linked back to the source light up immediately, so you can track your progress rotation by rotation.
  5. Every puzzle is generated with a guaranteed solution that already routes around any blocks, so it is always solvable - there's no luck involved, only logic.
  6. Win: connect every target back to the source. There is no move limit and no fail state - keep rotating as long as you like. When you connect the last target, the finished board glows for a few seconds so you can see what you built before the level-complete popup appears. Solving in fewer rotations than the level's par earns more stars (1 star for solving it at all, 2 for a good pace, 3 for solving at or under par), and clearing a level unlocks the next one. Your unlocked levels and stars are saved automatically.
  7. Stuck? Use the 💡 Hint button to instantly correct one tile that still needs fixing. Hints are free and unlimited, but using one on a level caps that attempt at 2 stars instead of 3.
  8. Lose: there is no way to lose a level outright - if you get stuck, use "Retry level" to reshuffle the same layout and try a fresh approach.

Endless mode

One continuous run of ever-harder auto-generated puzzles: each solve advances you to the next level, with more targets, occasional obstacle blocks from level 4 onward, and occasionally a bigger grid. Score rewards solving in fewer rotations. Your best endless score is saved locally. Endless mode also has no fail state - it simply continues until you stop playing.
